K9 Comforts was founded by Kelly Lofton, a Chicago native who found her heart in Austin back in 2016. Our journey began with a simple passion: a love for dogs and a dedication to their well-being. Kelly's canine career began with several years of professional dog training, before she eventually fell in love with the pet grooming process and began pursuing it full time. For several years, Kelly groomed out of a pet shop where she meticulously studied and worked to perfect the art of grooming.

Throughout her years in the industry, Kelly felt driven by her passion to create a more personal connection with her clients, and deliver a high quality experience with her grooming. This is what inspired K9 Comforts—an elevated mobile spa experience where each groom is tailored to the dog's specific coat. Kelly's vision extends beyond grooming; it's about building relationships, understanding individual needs, and ensuring every dog leaves not just looking their best, but feeling their best as well.
